1. Maybe you noticed (or not) that I’ve been a little MIA on the blog lately. Work has been pretty crazy, and ye olde blog was low on my priority list. (Along with working out.) However, despite the crazy … I feel like I’ve been enjoying it more than ever lately. I feel like for the first time in my adult life, I’m honestly happy with my job. I don’t get the Sunday night blues. I don’t wake up and think “ugh” during the week, and I honestly like going to the office. I don’t countdown the hours or minutes until 5pm. I’m not evey putting up a front because this is a public blog. However, I look forward to the day we’re fully staffed and I’m not spending 7 of the 8 (or so) hours of my day in meetings.

2. I reactivated my ClassPass membership this week! I’m super pumped to get back at it. I lost my motivation to workout on my own, especially when it became common for me to spend 9-10 hours at the office. My first class back was Go Row, and I was dripping in sweat pretty quickly into the workout. Hopefully having a class scheduled at 5:30 or 6pm will get me out of the office at a normal time. #strategery

3. This summer, we’re splitting a CSA farm share from Angelic Organics with another couple. We got our first delivery last weekend. Among the multiple varieties of lettuce, cilantro, broccoli, beets and shallots were garlic scapes, which were totally new to me. I’m digging them though. I’ve cooked them up with potatoes (in foil on the grill) and put them in a salad. Have you ever cooked with garlic scapes? What do you do with them? Apparently you can use them just like garlic.
