I mentioned in my May round-up that I’m planning on running the Warrior Dash this month. If you can believe it, this will be my first Warrior Dash! It all goes down on Sunday at 12 noon.
This race will be a good test to see where I’m at for the Spartan Race in August. According to the event website, there will be 12 obstacles over 3.1 miles and the course is “moderately hilly.”
I’ll be honest, I’m most nervous about the trenches, mud mounds, great warrior wall and deadman’s drop. I’m also scared of the obstacles that don’t scare me, because they could surprise me. But hopefully, the race will be a lot of fun!
I’ve also partnered with Delta Faucet, who is on a mission to help people embrace mess as a life well-lived, to share my #HappiMess Warrior Dash experience live from the event via Instagram and Twitter. Delta will also be onsite to help participants clean up before (or after) celebratory post-race beers with an outdoor shower station.
With this being the year of Emo Knee, I have set no zero time goals for the race and am excited to focus on having fun with my husband, one of my many endurance athlete cousins, a friend from high school, and fellow blogger Greg! Follow along via Instagram and Twitter on Sunday!
