Birthday lunch at Schoops on our way to Michigan. I know Chicago has some delicious hamburgers (Bad Apple, Au Cheval, and I have yet to try Kuma’s) but I grew up on Schoops burgers and they will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Mag Mile Half & 5K

 

2014 Goals

Weekly Strength Workouts: I had weekly PT appointments, which were all about glute strength, and also made a lot of trips up to our building’s fitness center to work my arms & core. I didn’t log all of these though. But it was definitely more than weekly.

Bi-weekly Fun Workouts: None. This month’s focus was on getting ready for pain-free running. Once I am running pain-free, I’d like to start taking dance classes again.

Read 12 Books: I’m failing so much at this goal.

Host Something Once a Month: Technically, I hosted Girls Night Out.

Volunteer: Mentoring through DetermiNation.

This month was frustrating because I wanted to start running again! If you’ve been paying attention, I did start last week. So, September’s recap might be better, at least when it comes to running. However, August was an interesting month for my personal life … but that’s personal.
