Also, after my last wah wah I’m so lazy post, I … get this! … laid out a training plan to get me through Ragnar. (Then I’ll start following a Hal Hidgon plan for the marathon.) Groundbreaking, yes? Anywho.
Checking in on my 2014 goals:
Weekly Strength Workouts: I did 6! CRUSHED IT!
Bi-weekly Fun Workouts: 6! Four burlesque classes, one ballet class, and one trip to Sky High Sports to jump on tramolines. Although, as I mentioned in that same wah wah post, I’m taking a break from getting my sexy on at burlesque classes. I might take a workshop here and there, but for now my focus is getting in marathon shape.
Read 12 Books: I finished Life After Life (I read most of it in March, for the record) and started and finished Unbroken. Both were very good and very engrossing. And about World War II (that was unintentional).
Host Something Once a Month: Was too wrapped up in apartment searching to do much.
Volunteer: So far my DetermiNation menteees have raised over $3,000 for the American Cancer Society! One of them already reached the minimum – she should mentor me, haha. My fundraising is going well, but new this year – we need to raise at least $250 before we can register for “free” summer marathon training. I’m close and hopefully will get there in time to register.
