LUNAFEST. Short Film Fest #2. Short Film Fest #1 was Dan Savage’s Hump Tour. Two very different film fests. Both very engaging.

Redeemed a Groupon for an annual Divvy membership. Now I just have to activate it … and get used to riding a bike again. On the mean streets of Chicago.

Checking in on my 2014 goals:

Weekly Strength Workouts: I only did 3 this month – 2 at the fitness center at work, and one with CARA at Equinox. But I was an overachiever on this goal last month.

Bi-weekly Fun Workouts: Between two weekly burlesque classes and tango classes, I did 9 fun workouts. This was a good decision, considering the Polar Vortex has not quite released it’s grip on Chicago.

Read 12 Books: I’m probably one of the last runners to do so, but I finally read Born to Run. And I get what the fuss is about! I really enjoyed it. If anyone wants to borrow my copy (I got it from Half-Priced Books), let me know. 

Host Something Once a Month: I was going to host a clothing swap, but then it snowed. AGAIN. And no one felt like driving (and I did not blame them) so I rescheduled.

Volunteer: I researched some ideas for fundraising for the ACS, and I’m planning a fundraiser party at Bottle & Bottega. I’ll post info once the registration link is set up if you’re interested in coming. I’m looking into another event … I think this year might be more events and not so much raffles like last time. But you can still support my fundraising by buying an I Run With Fast Women shirt. (Which someone did recently … thank you, whoever you are.) Or you can just make a donation.
