Bad Romance, Lady Gaga cover show. It was super fun. Good singing and awesome dancing, although not enough dancing in the crowd during the show, which resulted in us (BFF and I) getting in a cab afterward and yelling to our cabbie “TO BOYSTOWN!” Maybe we’d had a few drinks. (It worked though … once we told him the intersection Berlin is near.)
Definitely had a few drinks. Definitely wore that skirt during the Disco Dash 5K.

Beer! But no run. (For me.)
Date Nights. Game Nights.
F^3 always offers free high-res race pics. Unfortunately, there were no good ones of me taken during the Turkey Chase 8K. If you look closely, you can see
1) my left elbow (orange top), left leg (black tights, blue knee socks, blue shoes with neon green laces);
2) my head (black hat) and right shoulder (orange top with neck gaiter pulled up);
3) my left arm and leg.
Of course they get a great shot of my husband … who hates having his picture taken and doesn’t have a blog. Ah, well, you get what you pay for.
Progress on goals:
Don’t spend more than $500 on races for 2013. The Turkey Chase 8K put me at $512. I’m not doing any more races this year, so close enough.
Run 1,300 miles for the year. Yeah. Not happening.
Weekly strength workouts. Fail. I did 3.
Read 12 books. I read A Boy Named Shel, the autobiography of Shel Silverstein. It was interesting – he really lived his own life on his own terms. I grew up knowing him as a children’s author, he was not quite what I expected based on The Giving Tree and A Light in the Attic. Anyway, I’m currently at 8 books for the year, so I don’t think I’ll hit even this sad goal. And I’m waaay behind on my running magazines, I think I might just chuck those into the recycle and call it a day. Except for Marathon & Beyond, those are like the academic journals of running.
