Bristol Renaissance Faire 2013

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is head just over the Illinois-Wisconsin stateline for a day at the Bristol Renaissance Faire. We lucked out and went on Saturday, the day after Chicago’s heat wave broke, and the weather was perfect. It was also the day before the Rock n’ Roll Chicago Half Marahton, so of course I spent the day focused on proper fueling. Beer, cheese curds, garlic mushrooms, artichoke and melted butter, beignets, some turkey leg. Clearly I know what I’m doing, guys. I spent all my money on food for once, and not jewelry. Weird.

I’ve been to the Ren Faire many times over the years and have taken many pictures. If you live in the Chicago area and have never been to the Ren Faire, GO! It’s Saturdays and Sundays until Labor Day.
