June 10 – 16: Miles – 0, other workouts – 0
Too busy packing/moving to do anything else

June 17 – 23: Miles 11.2, other workouts – 0
Despite having a week off from work

June 24 – 30: Miles 14.3, other workouts – 0

July 1 – 7: Miles: 18.9, other workouts – 2

So yeah, as I mentioned in my June recap, with the move and the new job, I haven’t been running as much. But things are starting to settle down and I’m trying to fall into a routine.

The awesome thing is, I have basically added 2.5 hours to my day. Previously, I woke up at 5am, left for work at 5:40am, and didn’t get home until 5:45pm, and then had only a few hours to squeeze in a run, make and eat dinner, shower, etc before it was bedtime. Plus I was job hunting, and later, apartment hunting as well. I was commuting 4 hours day, and now I’m commuting 1.5 hours per day.

So now, I can wake up an hour later, run, shower, go to work and still get home at the same time as before … and already be done with my run. Or, I can stay at the office for an extra 45 minutes and get in a strength workout in the free fitness center and still get home at the same time as The Sailor. And I can actually enjoy the rest of the evening because my workouts are done. So, life has improved greatly in that regard!

And plus you know … I have this great place to run:
