Monday: Rest. Dentist appointment. Probably had time to go to the gym afterward but I didn’t.
Tuesday: Piloxing Class, 1hr.
Wednesday: 2.37mi in 24min, 10:12 pace and 20min of strength. Went to the gym, ran on the inside track and took a break in the middle to work my core/arms.
Thursday: 3mi in 29min, 9:38 pace. Ran with Kelly during our weekly group run.
Saturday: 13.1mi in 1:57:27, 8:58 pace. F^3 Lake Half Marathon.
Sunday: Rest. Thought about going to the gym to swim laps. Didn’t. Got a hair cut though (nothing drastic, just a clean-up).
Total miles: 18
Total time: 4hr, 11min
Left: Thursday night group
Right: F^3 Half. I’m in the green hat/sunglasses/pigtails, Nicole is in the black vest/neon green sleeves/pink gloves. Photo by Ali Engin.
- Relatively low mileage week and three rest days. Hmm. No good reasons other than “it was cold” and “I didn’t feel like it.” Just call me #FatFluential. (After my meals this weekend – carryout two nights in a row, and nothing even remotely healthy, but totally delicious – you really could. Oh well, that’s why I’m not a healthy living blogger nor do I ever hope to be.)
- One of my goals this month was to finally try the Piloxing class at my gym. It’s described as a mix of cardio kickboxing and Pilates. I guess that’s accurate. It was a bit more aerobics-y than I prefer. I probably won’t take it again. Nothing wrong with the class, just not my style.
- I mentioned in my last Training post that once the F^3 Half was over, I would just do whatever I want, workout wise. That’s still the plan, although my goal isn’t to have so many rest days. I still want to workout regularly, I just don’t want to feel obligated to run outside when it’s dark and cold and depressing.
