I really wanted to answer my own questions, so … here are 11 more questions & answers!
Why do you run? Because I can! I have two healthy legs and two healthy lungs, I want to find out what I can do with them! Also, because I enjoy it, and it helps me to de-stress, clear my mind and stay healthy (physically and mentally).
What other athletic things do you enjoy? Soccer, swimming, spin class, Pilates
Where did you grow up? Chicago south suburbs
Why do you currently live where you do? I live with my parents so I’m in the same exact place where I grew up, which is kind of nice. Not my first choice, but we’re living here to pay off debt, so it’s the smartest choice.
|All of those commercials about Michigan are true|
Where is your favorite place in the world? The “west coast” of Michigan (Lake Michigan side). My parents took us there every summer growing up, and I’ve returned a few times as an adult with my brother and some of our friends. It’s so peaceful, and best of all CHEAP!
Do you know how to do something that not everyone can do? I can play the flute and the piano. I also know my way around Excel better than the average PR/marketing person. I’m pretty good at math. I can drive stick shift.
What foods do you hate? Black olives. Canned clam chowder soup.
What kind of car do you drive, and why did you buy it? 2003 Toyota Echo. It’s small, red, reliable and fuel-efficient. My previous car was a 1992 Toyota Tercel. What can I say, I love little red Toyotas.
Have you ever quit anything? Why? I quit the volleyball team my junior year of high school. My heart wasn’t in it anymore.
|Me + my college bestie|
What was your major? If you could go back in time, would you pick something else? I majored in Communication. Originally I was going to major in Computer Science but about halfway through my first semester, and my first programming class, I changed my mind. Sometimes I think I should have majored in math or engineering. I am honestly fascinated by math. But I’m really excited about the direction my career is taking, so I’m going to stick with what I’m doing.
Where did you go to college? Why? I went to Loyola University Chicago. I actually didn’t even consider it at first. My dad went there and was in the seminary, so I assumed it was a super-religious school and wouldn’t be a good fit for me. Then I realized it was actually a great school academically with a BEAUTIFUL campus. We did have to take theology courses, but they offered all different types. I took a Buddhism course. Almost every class included some aspect of teaching social justice. I loved it. I’d love to go there for graduate school.
