Training, May 22- 28

Monday: 4.1-mile run in 42:32, 10:29 pace – group run from Fleet Feet with the ACS

Tuesday: Rest

Wednesday: Total Body Strength at CrossTown Fitness West Loop via ClassPass

Thursday: Corporate Challenge, 3.5-mile run in 29:38, 8:28 pace and a 2.2-mile Divvy ride home

Friday: 2.3-mile Divvy ride

Saturday: Soldier Field 10, 10-mile run in 1:48:10, 10:49 pace

Sunday: Pilsen Yoga Tribe

Total Miles (Run + Bike) = 23
Total Time (all workouts) = 5 hours, 42 minutes

Between PR-ing at the Corporate Challenge and running a pace I haven’t seen since 2013, and completing my first double-digit run since 2014 pain-free, I’m feeling pretty happy about my fitness right now.






However, I will be humbled pretty quickly – my next race is a Spartan Race in two weeks. If you can’t complete an obstacle, you have to do 30 burpees, I expect there to be at least 20 obstacles on the 3-5 mile sprint course. Goal: Finish. Stretch goal: Finish without needing to do more than 300 burpees.  I’m trying out a class at Junior Ninja Warriors with CrossTown Fitness this week if anyone wants to join me.
