As someone who spends a lot of waking hours in fitness gear, I’m always on the lookout for great workout gear that fits well, will hold up over time, and looks good. I recently had the opportunity to try out HYLETE, a premium performance apparel brand created for the modern athlete yet priced for everyday use. They have styles for men and women, as well as backpacks, hats, headbands and socks. You can also (financially) back future styles at a discount.
I tried out their invex II crop in plum/cool gray. Typically I wear a size medium in performance apparel, but I found that a size small fit me really well, so I’d recommend sizing down.
I’ve worn these crops for a variety of workouts – while running, lifting weights, doing pilates and yoga, and during a megaformer workout. The waistband is a thick elastic band with no drawstring that can stretch up to 4 inches. The rise is a nice medium rise, which I prefer, or you can easily roll down the waistband for a lower rise. The crops are also very soft, smooth, and lightweight and felt like I was wearing nothing, but the material is thick enough that I wasn’t worried about showing off too much. They stayed in place really well – I didn’t have to do my usually pulling up the waist band, adjusting around my knees, etc.
Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with these crops and definitely plan to try other HYLETE tights as well as their tops and shorts!
If you’d like to try for yourself, you can save 40% off your first order from HYLETE with code HM4119 if you order before the end of June.
Or, I did receive a pair of these crops in medium (same color) that are too big for me – they would probably best fit someone who is a size large in performance bottoms, or between a medium/large. I did wear them during a workout (but they have been washed), whoever emails me first gets them – you just have to let me know what you think of them! Wow, they went fast!
I received free product in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own. These really are great crops.
Have you ever tried HYLETE? What did you think?
If you haven’t, what would you try?
