2013 has been quite a year for me. The obvious changes are the new job, new apartment, and new life in Chicago. It’s been an amazing year, and I finally made the changes I’ve been wanting to make for awhile. I’m happier and more relaxed than I’ve been in a long time.

[This part is intentionally vague.] I’ve also done a lot of self-reflection this year. Some of it was completely unexpected, and led to some jarring revelations. It’s been quite personal, and I’m still processing all of it, however, it has also been … freeing. I figured out something that has been perplexing me for years. Things are starting to make more sense. But there is no clear way to move forward with all of this. So 2014 might prove to be a bit interesting as well.

  1. Ha ha ha. I love all the OMGs. I thought there was going to be an “OMG why isn’t Olive in this?!” then I saw that tiny pic at the end. Will you please recap Olive’s 2013?

And what the heck, you tease. Tell us more about your realizations. Sounds interesting! (especially with all the “new year!” “GOALZZZ!!!!” posts that have been going around; it would be nice to read something with substance)

  2. It’s not too late for Olive’s year in review. That may inspire Jude & Meko to write a similar one.

Also intrigued by the vague realizations. I hope it’s our super helpful body image realizations. We are toads wise. 🙂

    1. Olive’s recap is coming tomorrow 🙂

I still need to figure out how to write that body image post without coming off as too crude or you know, “you still need someone else to validate you” because that is problematic too.

      1. Crap, you’re right. But on the other hand, I think it takes a high level of self-esteem to know for sure that yes, someone would (even though duh, obviously someone would). Hmm….
