Tonight's recipe: Open wine. Pour into glass. Drink while emptying contents of fridge into pan. When in doubt, add butter. Salt and pepper to taste. I call this Coq au Vin. But that name is taken, so... Cock au Wino. Bastille Day 5k/8k #runCHI #runCARA

Goals Check-in

Don’t spend more than $500 on races for 2013. I registered for the Carrera de los Muertos 5K and Oktoberfest 5K. I’ve spent $441 on 2013’s races.

Run 1,300 miles for the year. RunningAhead.com tells me that I am now 193.6 miles behind my pace bunny. Well then.

Weekly strength workouts. I think I made it to the fitness center in my office twice for core/arms, and I went to one free yoga class.

Read 12 books. I finished Me Talk Pretty One Day. But haven’t started anything else.

July’s goal: Start catching up to that damn pace bunny. Get in a running/workout routine. Start making dinner once in awhile. Fell further behind the pace bunny. Still working on establishing a routine, but I am impressed any time I get up early enough to run before work, even if it’s only 2 miles. I have made dinner a few times.

August’s goals: Sell my car. The registration expires at the end of the month. Also, clean out the second bedroom, or at least, get rid of the stuff in there we don’t need and organize the stuff that’s staying. Hang some “art.”

  1. Very busy month! pace bunny.. are you the person that is being tagged on the lakefront trail where it says – Run bunny run?
Can’t wait until the next WRCE meetup! I better start prepping my bad joke response time.

    1. Haha, no, I’m not the one being tagged. If you have a RunningAhead.com account, you can put in a goal and it’ll tell you how many miles/day or miles/week you need to run to hit that goal. I’m pretty far behind my goal of hitting 1,300 miles for the year. Oh well.
